seitz The son of the late Jean Hostetler Seitz and Delbert L. Seitz, Randy was born in Harrisonburg, VA and resided in New Holland, PA before he graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in 1982. He earned his architectural degree from the Virginia Tech School of Architecture in 1988. In addition to working with the Troyer Group from 1988-1989 and from 1997-2004, he worked as a project architect for Smith Blackburn Stauffer and CORE, firms in Washington, D.C. Serving clients' needs has been a primary characteristic of Randy's professional life. Whether through his work within the church, the medical community and civic groups, Randy focuses on hearing the needs of his clients and discovering how buildings can represent the values and vision of their inhabitants. Randy, his wife Patsy, and sons, Nicholas and Joseph, returned to the Shenandoah Valley in 2004. It was at that time that he and Ron Davenport launched Blue Ridge Design Studio. In addition
to architectural practice, Randy teaches within the interior design
program at James Madison University. He serves as board member for
organizations: Friends of Blacks Run Greenway and the Highland Retreat.
He also is a member of Rotary and Ridgeway Mennonite Church. randy
